Nikon D3200

NIKON D3200

An entry-level Nikon with 24.2MP!  Wow!  As reviewed by Popular Photography, "Nikon's D3200 is a lot of camera for only $699.  On paper it might look as if it had only an overload of pixels in its favor.  But take a closer look at its other strengths - the ability to keep noise under control while delivering a serious increase in resolution over the previous model, plus beefed-up video with faster contrast AF and the more standard 30-fps capture rate - and you see that the D3200 has plenty going for it."

So, I'm a Nikon girl and probably will be until I die.  Once you invest in a certain camera make with lenses and other equipment, it's hard to switch camps.  I get a lot of questions about what camera to buy so I thought I'd start providing some information here on my blog.  But don't be surprised if it's only Nikon cameras that you read about - 'cause that's what I'm interested in!

What the D3200 offers is excellent resolution (24.2MP), a high burst shooting rate (4fps), video capture, and acceptable ISO to 800.  This means high image quality, getting that moment when your 2-year-old stops for a split second, a video of the same thing, and it can do it all in dim lighting conditions.  This is a great price for the features and image quality in this camera.  Worth checking out if you're in the market for a DSLR camera.

Remember, if you buy that new DSLR and want to get a jump start on using it, I offer two photography classes: Camera Basics and Moving to Manual, on a regular basis so you won't be stranded with a brand new beautiful camera and not know how to use it.

Happy Shooting!
